Around the intersection of California Street and Powell Street in northeastern San Francisco lies the neighborhood of Nob Hill.
With careful detailing and large circular shape, the Victorian Night Copper Disc Earrings breathe new life into modern drop earrings. The disc earrings are crafted and finished by hand, providing one-of-a-kind...
The neighborhood was one of many that sprung up at the end of the 1800s when San Francisco's population began to boom. Today, the neighborhood is known for its mansions, which were built by railroad millionaires who chose to call San Francisco home. The John S. Brana Nob Hill Filigree Jewelry Collection was inspired by this affluent, beautiful neighborhood and is filled with pieces that offer luxury and class.
Recall an era of intricate architectural detail – stone carving atop Roman columns, Victorian peaks and window shutter details, Fleur-de-lis, and iron gate scrollwork designs. This is the essence of the Nob Hill Filigree collection. Enjoy the minute hand craftsmanship of tiny fine silver wires twisted then sculpted into delicate tendrils and encased by sterling silver or 14K to 18K gold. This collection is derived from my personal inspiration of climbing the hilly streets of San Francisco’s historic Nob Hill neighborhood. Every home or apartment is gated by Victorian-era iron grill work of endless curves and floral designs. Dangling these fine filigree and Fleur-de-lis creations from your ears is a testament to the appreciation of a bygone era of craftsmanship. (Press and Celebrity Photos)
