Enjoy the beauty of nature while making a chic fashion statement in the John S Brana Designer Jewelry 3/4 Wide Bark Copper Cuff Bracelet. This distinctive jewelry design was inspired by the texture of the bark on the trees that grow in the magnificent redwood forests of Northern California, and the bark-like texturing is produced entirely by hand. Matching bark textured leaf copper earrings are also available in the John S Brana Designer Jewelry collection to coordinate with the piece.

Perfect for day and night and for wearing alone or with other bracelets, the John S Brana Designer Jewelry 3/4 Wide Bark Copper Cuff Bracelet is a simple, yet stylish design. The bracelet has been polished, but it is left untreated, giving you the freedom to allow it to develop a patina with age. The shine can also be maintained by cleaning the bracelet regularly with Ketchup or and Brass/Copper Cleaner. Available in five sizes, the cuff can be worn by men and women alike.

Copper Cuff Bracelet Size Chart

Choosing the right cuff size starts with understanding how cuff bracelets are designed to fit. Unlike closed bangles, cuffs include an opening, which allows them to slide onto the wrist comfortably while maintaining structure.

Below is a full sizing breakdown based on total bracelet circumference, opening size, and actual copper length.

Available Sizes

Bracelet Circumference Opening Size Copper Length
9 1/2 inches 2 inches 7 1/2 inches
9 inches 1 3/4 inches 7 1/4 inches
8 1/2 inches 1 1/2 inches 7 inches
8 inches 1 1/4 inches 6 3/4 inches
7 1/2 inches 1 inch 6 1/2 inches
7 inches 1 inch 6 inches
6 1/2 inches 1 inch 5 1/2 inches
6 inches 7/8 inch 5 1/8 inches

Each size reflects the total inside circumference when worn, not just the metal length. The opening is intentionally designed to allow the cuff to slide onto the wrist while maintaining its shape.

How to Find Your Perfect Fit

Getting the right size is simple and takes less than a minute.

Step by Step Sizing Method

  1. Use a flexible measuring tape.
  2. Measure your wrist just above the wrist bone where you plan to wear the cuff.
  3. Add 1/2 inch to that measurement.

This added space allows for comfort and ensures the cuff is not too tight.

Example Sizing

Wrist Measurement Recommended Bracelet Size
6 inches Order 6 1/2 inches
6 1/2 inches Order 7 inches
7 inches Order 7 1/2 inches
7 1/2 inches Order 8 inches
8 inches Order 8 1/2 inches

Why the Opening Matters

Cuff bracelets are not meant to fully close around the wrist. The opening:

  • Allows easy wear and removal
  • Maintains structural integrity
  • Prevents metal fatigue from bending

The copper length plus the opening equals the total wearable circumference.

Quick Sizing Rule

Measure your wrist above the wrist bone and add 1/2 inch.

That number equals the cuff size you should order.

Simple, accurate, and ensures a comfortable fit every time.

PLEASE NOTE: When copper comes in contact with human skin where it can interact with air, sweat and other chemicals, such as soaps, lotions and makeup, or sunscreen, the oxidation (patina) process can accelerate and that causes the copper to turn brown, green or bluish-green, and stain the skin.

The reaction varies according to an individual's body chemistry, both in how long it takes for the green discoloration to form and in how pronounced the color becomes. Some people experience no discoloration. The discoloration, incidentally, is not harmful to one's health and is readily washed off with soap and water. If not washed off, it is normally absorbed by the body overnight.

Refunds will not be given because "It turns my wrist green."
